From the moment the order is placed to when the client receives it, Helios Equipment ensures every step is done precisely and in accordance to API 6A standards. So how does it all work? Immediately after the oil equipment order is submitted, the process begins. A Helios engineer verifies the specifications of the order and sends a confirmation to the client that the order has been received. From there the paperwork (drawing for a customized order and specifications) is sent to the workshop in Asia. Helios works closely with overseas workshops that are well-known oil and gas equipment manufacturers. Once they receive the specifications they convert the measurements to metric and they are again verified to guarantee accuracy. Throughout the manufacturing process Helios’ engineers periodically visit the workshop to verify everything is going according to plan and API 6A guidelines are being followed. This also allows them the chance to update customers on the progress of the oil equipment and guarantee that the delivery date will be met.If a customized order is placed in January from that moment it takes approximately 90 days to complete assembly of the oil equipment. This means the production process will be done by March. Customized orders and some oil equipment that are backlogged are generally the products that take the full 90 days to complete assembly. The product is then tested for accuracy and that it matches API 6A requirements. API requires oil and gas equipment to pass certain tests to be qualified as a usable product. It then travels by boat to Helios either in the US or Canada – a process that takes approximately 5 weeks. The product is then verified with the order and shipped to the customer.
